What is Your LEAP Today?
It's leap day. Could there be a better day to do something inspired, spontaneous or risky?
I'm making this my question of the day, asking about the dreams and goals others have and the steps they will take today. I'm also asking myself this question. In sitting with it, I have decided my leap is cementing a plan for the completion of my manuscript. This past weekend I took space to reflect on my book and the progress I'm making as well as where I have felt stuck. I enjoy freedom, I enjoy the process and I enjoy ambiguity... sometimes too much. I recognize I have been resisting a key part of the process, narrowing from the big picture and themes down to specific words on specific pages in a specific order. Now, I have assigned myself a due date (May 31st), and have walked backwards from that goal with specific steps needed to achieve it. I'm leaping into a 13-week march to the finish. What's your leap today?
I'll end with a quote from Pablo Picasso that has been inspiring me this weekend:
"Our goals can only be reached through a vehicle of a plan, in which we must fervently believe, and upon which we must vigorously act. There is no other route to success."
