Spinning Your Wheels
Ever have those moments where you sit and "spin your wheels" about a project you're working on? Have you considered that you are actually using more effort doing nothing than you would by getting into action? We have all kinds of ways of justifying our own inaction to ourselves. "I'm not writing because I'm thinking about my book." Really what this means is I am expending effort trying NOT to expend effort to get closer to the goal I have created for myself (and invited others to partner with). To regain traction, I focus on WHY I set the goal in the first place and on the outcomes I am creating. Usually, my spinning comes when fear gets louder than a sense of purpose. Whatever it takes, stop spinning your wheels. Get into action. You will keep your sanity, live in the moment and move forward. All spinning your wheels does is burn energy to create nothing.
